Of Metis descent, Mr. Pruden is a chronicler of the obscure. In life and works, he’s captivated by a never-ending search for independence.
His minimalist fiction depicts postmodern life and the existential challenges faced by Canada’s Metis and Indigenous people. Mr. Pruden’s eighth novel ‘A Whippoorwill Called’ arrived in spring 2025.
He makes his home near Edmonton, Alberta, at the small town of Thorsby, in western Canada.
